What is the limit for idling a truck?
Generally 5 minutes is the maximum allowable for all vehicles, cars, buses, and trucks. Exceptions include emergencies and, for diesel trucks, if the ambient air temperature is below 25°F and the truck will be sitting for more than 2 hours.
