Here are some additional facts that can help you spread a message of bicycle safety:
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Association, 846 bicyclists were killed in 2019 and the number is expected to be much higher in 2020.
According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, two thirds of bicyclists who die in motor vehicle crashes were not wearing helmets.
