Community Outreach

Question: Our municipality is looking to do community outreach (e.g. visiting schools and participating in community events). Are there materials out there that highlight road and street safety?

Answer: 

• New York State Department of Transportation has a page dedicated to traffic safety and kids, where you will find word scrambles, matching games, word searches, and travel bingo. 
• The Traffic Safety Team also has materials designed for children to explain the importance of traffic safety. On this page, you will find coloring sheets, YouTube Videos, traffic safety-related books, and crafts.
